On the Bryn Pistyll site in Waunfawr, there is a nature park of seven acres filled with various habitats, attracting all kinds of wildlife, with secret pathways, copses, unusual artwork and amazing views of the Snowdonia Mountains. There is also a highly interesting and colourful collection of trees, flowers and wild plants in the gardens. Come for a visit, come to explore, or just pop over for a chat – you’ll always find a warm welcome.
After exploring the park and enjoying all that it has to offer, what could be better than a cuppa and a bite to eat at Blas y Waun Cafe? They use only homegrown and local produce, and offer all kinds of tasty treats.
Also on this site, there are unique crafts for sale in the Sgubor Grefftau, and the Sgubor Fawr offers new, therapeutic opportunities for people with more intensive needs.
At Tŷ Capel (the old chapel house), there’s a meeting room which also holds an exhibition on local characters such as John Evans, the explorer from Waunfawr, Iolo Morgannwg, and the history of the Mandan tribe.
